Electric car proponents argue that we need 500 thousand chargers to entice people to purchase electric cars and get over range anxiety. This, however, is not the case for most electric car owners who charge their cars at home rather than at a fuelling station. In 20 20 gas stations in the united states sold enough fuel to fill up 187 thousand olympic sized swimming pools. Despite demand, more often than not, gasoline is a loss leader for independent owners.
