In the west, it's unlikely that most readers have that background. This is where i think the role of the translator, modern translator comes in. In our library, tobeten classic series, i always encourage the translators to write quite a comprehensive introduction. And then some text like a, you know, we did this sein on daniel. You will not that last year, wel, two years ago,. we did this massive commentary on abitama kosha, a vasubandu's text. Now that is like an encyclopaedia.
