The New Testament's Teaching of Equality of Opportunity
Gospel does not abolish slavery, but it makes it impossible ever to think about it or practise it in the same way again. The gospel focuses its vision of ality beneath the surface of the social order. In the process, it denies the social order finality and insists that it be approached and regarded in terms of a more fundamental and determinative reality given by virtue of human creation and redemption. Every human being is beyond exchange and is of incalculable worth in the sight of god,. Whoever some one is wherever they stand in the social order, this is true of them in the life of the church.
