How Identity Is Flexible
The flip of a coin is enough to make people feel like part of a team. Once you trigger that, they start to identify that team and changes how they think and behave towards members of their own group. You start allocating more money to members of your in group than an out group. And this all happens in the absence of stereotypes or actual reveal conflict. It's all in your head that this is happening.
