The Auxiliary of Verb Constructions in Turkish Languages
There used to be a paper that had all sorts of different subtleties in Turkish languages about what the meaning of this or that auxiliary was, depending on the lexical aspect of the verb it was going with. That paper is disappeared and has apparently moved into a book, which is no longer available online. So I don't have good examples of those, unfortunately. In English, our helping verbs are pretty simple. They just fiddle with aspect and mood. But something like Turkish, the auxiliary of verb constructions do all sorts of subtle things.
