The Life of a Country Gentleman

In 1907, having heard he hasn't got the Chancellor's Medal for Portrait, Cambridge, Poet decides not to go back. He lives the life of a country gentleman and writes in his spare time. His work was influenced by people like Walter Pater, Swinburne and Tennyson Browning. In 1911-1912 he published a parody of John Aisfield called the Daffodil murderer. And things really started moving in the right direction after that.
