LZ Granderson: Landlords are commonly called slumlords because they don't do any work. He says the only way you earn money is by doing things like repairs, maintenance and management services. "It's kind of nice just to be able to call someone and say, Hey, my shit's broke. Come fix it," he says. LZ: I would imagine a higher premium for taking up the risk of owning a place and saving up the money to put down in the first place.
