The urban rural split has been dominant for years, decades in Canadian voting with the odd exception when there's a blowout majority. The bigger issue is trying to anticipate whose votes are going to actually turn out. Janet Brown uses phone. It isn't the only way to try to solve for it. And informed guesswork based on experience can help. But I still look at those numbers and I kind of go, well, for all of the butt kicking that polling gets sometimes, there's a lot of pretty accurate polling that was done in Alberta.
