Andrew Hammond: How important was China in actually closing the deal out? What role did it play that has kind of wider significance, he asks. He says this does seem to be quite a new role for China in the region. It's not the version of peace-brokering where we might imagine as people were suddenly starting to do with Russia and Ukraine, he adds. But I'd be interested to hear more from Julian and Chintia on this question, said Hammond.
