How to Bring Your Mind Back to Your Anchor
You know it's going to be there throughout this meditation. And I'm sure that you'll find, as you rest your attention there on this anchor, that thoughts are going to arise. Some of them might come and go easily. Other ones might unhinge you from that anchor altogether. That is completely expected and you're not doing anything wrong if that happens. In fact, truthfully, we want that to happen. Because when the mind does get unhinged from this anchor, that's your opportunity to bring it back. You don't control any of these things, just like you can't stop your mind from working.
