Not all computer languages are equal and there are dozens of them. A low level language is relatively close to machine language, only provides a thin layer of abstraction. It can still be very challenging for programmers to work with these languages because they're not that far off from the basic machine languages. High level programming languages have their own sense of rules. If you break those rules, your program is not going to behave the way you intend it to.
