Mark Searle became an entrepreneurship professor at UC Berkeley after a short career as a professional athlete, interrupted by multiple injuries, and many experiences building and leading companies.

1. Competition, team work... Sports give a lot of great metaphors for life in general and specifically for entrepreneurship.
2. There is a difference between taking a risk and being stupid and reckless. Winners are not reckless. They understand and control the risk.
