The Spirit of a People
The spirit of a people is a very complex thing. It ends up manifesting itself in what a people do, what they choose to do and what they choose not to do. I felt that there was a closeness about the culture I was looking into in the last gift of the master artist. There was a kind of a repateness. Repateness can sometimes and often lead to being closed. And at certain points in history, this very closeness, this replete closeness can become an undoing.
