I think the India we work with today is not the India we worked with in 2001. And definitely our expectations of India today are different from what they were in 2001. If this relationship develops even further as we hope, then I think these expectations will only increase and the press of these expectations will be intensified by circumstances. Because if we do end up in a crisis, I think the United States will look around for friends and will judge friends in the manner that they respond. It's simply the nature of what political competition requires.
