Is Liz Truss Going to Cut Public Spending?
The Institute for Fiscal Studies have estimated that Liz Truss needs to find about £60 billion worth of savings. Circuestama asked her directly if she was going to cut public spending. The Prime Minister said, and I quote her exactly, I'm not planning public spending reductions. Is she going to stick to that? Absolutely. But we will do that not by cutting public spending, but by making sure we spend public money well.
