The Pure Buddha Field
The Vimalakirti nidesha is another one of these Mahayana sutras. It's a sublime, profound, and indeed, magical sutra with all sorts of strange and wonderful things going on within it. And I don't know if you've come across this notion in Mahayana Buddhism of what they call the Pure Land, or the Pure Buddha Field. The most famous is Sakavati, the land of bliss, not the men's community upstairs. In that realm is the Buddha of Infinite Night, Amitabh.
