Rust is an open source programming language. It's been used by a number of start-ups, including Oxide in the past. The company uses Rust to build its software and it says that they are faster at spinning up tools than using TypeScript because of their familiarity with rust. They also say you don't have to learn everything from scratch when building your first startup.
