The Complexity of Human Evolution
I think recognizing that our human ancestors are more like us rather than more different to us is a real key shift in our understanding of that complex level of human evolution. And that's what I've tried to understand by looking at these physical remains of a tool that kind of was last handled half a million years ago or 200,000 years ago and so on. To try and access that kind of age alien, mental state alien, the fact that it's unknowable almost is one of the great joys of doing that kind of research. You're genuinely looking into something unknowable and different to us, which I think is just mind-blowing. Yes.
