Do You Want Fast Charging on Your iPhone?
The new USB-C cable won't plug into your old chargers because they're using a long-term battery. So do you get a new brick? My recommendation would probably be yes. You will be able to charge your phone a lot faster with the new cable setup. Apple says that you are going to get about a 50% charge in around 30 minutes. The iPhone 8 and up support fast charging.
