How much doom and gloom is the appropriate amount of doom and gloom in your opinion? Unclear. I don't think just averaging things will get you the right answer. It's probably Ilyaser himself who taught us, why is it that we're all jumping to the point of saying, what story can I tell myself to not have to feel sad about this? Like that's textbook motivated reasoning. That is literally coping behavior.
