Is There Such a Thing as Whiteness?

In many ways, i still don't know what i am. There's no such thing as a white identity that's not tied to white supremacy. We're at this point right now where laws are being passed to forbid telling the truth about the country's complicated, tortured racial history. The thing we still don't ask at all is how was it that our ancestors were able to live in this luxury in the midst of a concentration camp economy? And how has that infected and affected us in the kind of horror that was experienced on a daily basis?
