The Technocratic Paradigm of Pope Francis
Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical Laudato saw him focus on the danger of technocracy. The Pope's view is that technology has a domineering relationship to nature, he says. He sees it as arising from philosophical modernity and an anti-modern attitude toward life. Brandon: In taking this position, the Pope isn't some kind of crazy-eyed liberal.
