Is There Potential in the Semiconductor Industry?

Beyond China and the US, I've been seeing more mentions of like Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Is it potential? Are we at a point now where there are more actors coming into this space as well and trying to compete at this level? Or is that not really the case? So I think this is a situation where politicians and the policymakers need to say something about semiconductors.
