Anti-colonial revolutionaries from what today is called the Global South also affected another important shift in the revolutionary imagination that you describe. They were unable to understand that antisemitism was a central feature of reactionary modernism. And they couldn't really see how it could be weaponized as a modern ideology or Nazism. You know, revolution is also striking for being perhaps the least Eurocentric of your books.
