The Battle of Trinidad and Victoria

Magellan had never told anyone about the Portuguese attempts to stop them two years earlier. La Rosa would join the Armada after he was offered a good position in suitable financial rewards. Trinidad and Victoria were in no shape for a fight, and everyone wanted to be clear of the spice islands before the Portuguese got word of their presence. The decision to split up probably offered them a better chance of getting home.
