What Is the Condition of Crisis in the Sahel, Sudan?
When europeans first wrote down observations of the region in the late seventeenth century, that they were really impressed by what they saw. At the time, you write that the greater seudanic system was a centre unto itself. What what is interesting here is thatthe condition in which those first european observers found the sahel, sudan, was actually a condition of crisis. We're going to go back over that history of the conflict in more detail, but first let's go way back in time and then work our way back to the present.
