The Conservative Manifesto in 2019
In 2001, the Conservative Manifesto from 2019 was deliberately narrow by Boris Johnson's own design. It doesn't give you a guide to what decisions to make when interest rates on government borrowing have shot up. So there's going to be a change of direction, which again leaves that question of mandate. Most people as well will pay far more attention to the leader of a party and the person who's pictures on the front cover of the Manifesto.
