Follow up with every conversation with an email. So many people complicate things and expect a way too much out of people. I'm a huge offender when it comes to over complicating things. It is a fact that the best employees can only do five jobs well. If they're going to do everything poorly, thy're going to be fired. And as a boss, don't want to get rid of anyone who doesn't know how to achieve your goals without asking those questions.
