The Galabi Gang Made the News Again

The galabi gang fought child marriage and what's known as suti, a bad historical practice where hindoo women threw themselves on their husbands funeral. Big groups of its members sat at the gates of a prison for 15 days after a local politician raked an under aged girl and falsely accused her of theft. Up to ten thousand people took part over that period. He was eventually jailed for ten years and died in prison.
