Lachderin de Vadia in County Cork is named after a magical cow who appeared out of a lake to look after a woman in absolute need. There's a story attached to it that there was this magical cow who gave the woman endless milk, strong life-giving milk and their dung feeds the soil. If you abuse or mistreat nature she can leave on a spot. I would doubt it's trying to communicate to people. Nature will give abundantly, will give everything you need, but if you abuse ormistreat nature she could leave on aspot.
