Mycenaean Weaponry

During the 13th century BC, there was radical change in Mycenaean weaponry. As weapons became smaller and lighter, the new equipment is most comprehensively illustrated in a warrior vase from MycenAE. The use of the sword is well illustrated in scenes of duels on seals and rings. One-on-one duels may have been an important element in the battles - although not necessarily as described by Homer.
