i love that the story involves quicksand, which is one of my favorite plot devices. And it's apparently this legend that could give rise to this common belief that the ghost appears to people to warn them of storms. The very next day after they leave, a hurricane sweeps through a path of destruction that would have killed them had they not left. Its for i've seen people to these beech towels. My god, they're beautiful. It does not mention blackbeard. That one might be a kind of spurious allegation. A well, i mean, all of these are probably just made up later legends,. But trying to track down at least what are the earliest of the legends.
