The Model of Obesity and the Energy Balance Model
The pathogenesis of obesity is complex, and so we need to have some degree of a model to be able to explain that. The energy balance model has largely been the consensus position of obesity scientists up until this point. But there are then also some who propose that this is not the correct model to look at obesity through. We're going to spend most of our time discussing in relation to one particular model called the "catholicroinslen model" which was put forward by doctor David Ludwig last year.
