You could generate on, you cound generate your private keys on an intenat on device thats not connected the internet. That is an option. I think hardwor wallets on the trade off balance model are are significantly easier to use and interact with. A sparrow wallet that will get even easier to use over the next six months or so. There's also another software called nun chuck which aims to make large amounts of funds lrustatively safe.
