The Five Elements of a Masterclass

The first element is Earth, which is about grounding your thinking and understanding deeply. To turn to the basics is something that allows us to see our world with more depth and precision. A friend of mine, whom I knew in college, became an internationally famous virtuoso trumpet player. He was invited a few years ago to come here to the University of Texas and give a masterclass in trumpet.
