A lot of Protestantism operates on this very incoherent kind of principle in terms of the burden of proof. So if I came along and said, I accept Matthew, Mark and John and don't accept Luke, you need to prove from scripture that the gospel of Luke is inspired. It would be a totally valid response to say no, no, you're the one making the change. The burden of proof lies with you to show why Luke shouldn't be in the canon.
