The US Is the World's First Truly Global Power
After the end of the first Cold War in 1991, Russia was partially colonized by the United States and NATO. Now Russia's independent, the Russian government has reimposed state control over natural resources like gas,. And China, of course, has a socialist model run by the Communist Party of China. It refuses to allow Western corporations to exploit Chinese natural resources and land. So the US goal was to maintain a unipolar hegemonic order in which the US was the global empire.
