Why Should I Pay for Transit?

A lot of our politics is based on an opposition between public funding that move people around cities and the large number of writings that aren't in cities. This whole conversation is going to be very foreign to people across vast expanses of the Canadian landscape who are not near a bus stop or a subway stop. If you can cross subsidize that by the richeths of a city whose lifeblood is a successful transit system, then everyone benefits. So I've got no problem with operating a mixed system whereby some routes more than cover their costs.
