I have a lot of people that reach out to me who want to start businesses and they don't know if they should bootstrap or raise capital initially. I think it's rocket fuel and rocket fuel doesn't go with cars regardless of how fast your car is or how cool it is so you have to ask yourself like do I want to build something that's a potential rocket meaning it could grow at a really good startup? So the annual growth will triple triple double double in order to be a company that could eventually go public in like eight years or whatever" "It takes a long time to actually turn that asset value into some type of cash right what's your opinion?" he asks
