The Origin Story of the Monopoly Game

When monopoly is first created was his first like science game. Supposedly the entire city of Salem, Massachusetts was mobilized to help assemble the boards. The origin story is way too convenient. It really was just a piece of silk on a glued to cardboard with a couple of wooden cubes attached and some like lead I assume 10 pieces of metal in the mix.
