The History of the CG4A

The British were trained on the CG4A at the time of the invasion of Sicily, which was July 1943. They were delivered by the Americans to North Africa in huge crates. This didn't take place in Europe until the crossing of the Rhine in 1945. That was the first time that gliders were double towed in Europe. It must have been a real sight to see.
