The Clinical Risk Score for Colorectal Liver Metastases

There had been numerous studies looking at clinical and pathological factors that are prognostic for patients with colorectal liver metastases undergoing resection. And so, we teamed up with a group from the UK as part of the S-court Consortium to validate our findings in a well-annotated prospective data set. The molecular subtypes that we defined were independent and complementary to the clinical factors that had previously been defined in this context. We then took that classifier and applied it to the UK data set and validated that the outcomes of patients based on the molecular subtype was dramatically different.
