Goblin and Spin a Black Yarn

A couple of your recent books have been collections of novellas. Do you have preference in this area and what has inspired the shift in direction featured in both Goblin and Spin a Black yarn? For me, the novel is home for sure. I feel like every time I sit down, confident or at least excited to see what comes from it. Whereas with the short story for me, I got to work on my short story game.
