"I can't blame anybody for my brain, but I do feel that a lot of my anxiety has come from the way that I was so scared to be in the world," she says. "As like a black person that grew up in a black neighborhood, I was afraid of other black people in some ways,. right? And I was also afraid of this idea that I would be confused as a crack baby or that people would take me for a super predator." She adds: "All of that is still being undone and unlearned".
