There are some things that tend to bias social contects toward being more aggressive or less aggressive, and not always physical aggression. Alcohol initially tends to increase our level of overall activity by reducing inhibition in other circuits. But very shortly thereafter it starts acting as a sedative by way of reducing activity in the fore brain. Kaffine also increases impulsivity but through a different mechanism.
