Liberalism, historically, does trickle downha h hh. And i don't particularly care whether it comes from some one on the right or some one from the left. I think that over time, it becomes inculcated in the national character. If he ends up being prosecuted for something for which there is insufficient evidence, that will be a breach of what should be our liberal norms. It will be the equivalent john adams saying, in the case of the boston massacre, no, i won't defend you.
