Is There a Relationship Between Materialism and Narcissism?

Aisha: I wonder, from a psychological point of view, like, what is it that's driving this? Is it narcissism? Is it a desire to be highly recognized? Is it personal greed? And I kind of wonder, I guess the reason I wonder about it is because it would seem to have implications for how they would behave. So at least psychology says materialism is a very fundamental value system that we are born with to an extent. But nonetheless, I see how they're both related to, or all of these things are sort of related to materialism.
