The Lynx, the Sphinx and the Monkey
Ethiopia produces the Lynx, The Sphinx, The Crocata and the Monkey. There are oxen too like those of India, some with one horn and others with three. A man called Thos was preserved in Arcadia by a dragon. But as to what has been said, respecting infants that have been exposed and nourished by the milk of wild beasts, I am disposed to attribute such cases rather to the greatness of the destinies which have to be fulfilled than to any peculiarity in the nature of the animals themselves.
