Taking Ownership of the Product Backlog

I think it's so empowering for the people that are in your team, right, to have a seat at the table. There is a reason why a product owner is the owner of the product backlog but the sprint backlog is of the development team. Why? Because they're taking ownership. Don't have that voice. It's basically a robot. You're shoving work in and work is being done. And it's going to be average work because that's what you're expecting of that person as part of their responsibility.
