We're in spaceand and no one can hear you scream in space quite well, yes. So it's hard for us to kind of imagine what various space phenomena sound like. It's very rare that sound waves are able to travel into the range of human hearing. One way of sort of hearing space is to take astronomical data,. so things like the brightness or the position of a star, say, You translate that into an aspect of sound whether that's pitch, rhythm, tempo, whatever. Some artists and musicians are taking that one step further - they're building whole pieces of music around at a sonification.
